College humor is one of the best comedy sketch channels on YouTube right now. Their sketches are funny, witty and most importantly inspired from real life which makes them a bit painful for people who find themselves in that position. This week their back again with a sketch called ‘Umm, Actually’.
This sketch pokes at nerds and fan boys who take their passion for certain TV series, video games and fantasy books a little too far. This game show is makes fun of that thing we all love so much: correcting people. And if you have friends who are nerds you probably know that for them it’s a way of life, not just something they do now and again.
The format of the game show features a host and three guests who each get a bell. The guest then proceeds to ask questions about different TV shows and such that have incorrect information in them. The role of the guest is to correct the host for every piece of false info. Also they have to start their sentences with ‘Um, actually’.
As the game progresses the questions become longer and filled with more details up to an absurd level. The last question in the series is a question from real life and none of the contestants had any idea what that meant. This is a sad representation of the current state of affairs for the current days nerds who have lost contact with the real world and live outside. The truth is funny, but it’s still sad.
